About Touring Playhouse
Touring Playhouse was founded in 2020 to bring high-quality professional productions to young people, both to educate and inspire.
With our team’s experience on the UK’s professional stages and film sets, including TIE touring, we have crafted shows that are a unique blend of captivating drama and engaging, educational elements, resulting in something unforgettable, iconic and inspiring.
Our plays are accurate, faithful adaptations that capture and embed the narrative so that the students leave with evocative imagery in mind. They are fast-paced, fun and captivating. Our workshops explore key themes, quotations and authorial intentions to increase the students’ knowledge, understanding, pleasure and passion for the text, ultimately better preparing them for classwork and examinations.
Specialising in theatre in education we perform within Schools, Children’s Centres, Art Centres, Village Halls, Theatres and Festivals all over the UK.
Our team is dedicated to creating the highest quality of drama and education for your students, creating an overall outcome that is safe and convenient for the faculty and the school.

Will Howard
Will is the producer of Touring Playhouse, having founded the company after running the West End ticketing service, Hit The Theatre, for fifteen years. Hit The Theatre’s original mission was to encourage young adults under 30 to go to the theatre and provide affordable tickets for them.
This mission was undertaken after he completed his university dissertation on the barriers preventing young adults and teenagers from visiting the theatre. Touring Playhouse represents an extension of this mission by providing easily accessible, high quality productions to teenagers studying set texts at school.

Professional
Our casts consist of trained actors with experience in TIE and professional stages. We craft our shows to provide a unique blend of captivating drama and educational engagement, resulting in something unforgettable, iconic and inspiring.
Safe
The health and safety of students, staff and employees is our highest priority. We adhere to all government guidance in respect of the risks of Covid-19, we train our employees and we provide a written policy for both the school and the visiting company to follow. We come to you. We make it as simple as possible for you to book the show at your school. You pick the date and time, and we will see you there! We will turn up, set up and perform in your school building. No need for extensive risk assessments and time away from school.
